*** Call for Nominations ***

Do you know an alum you would like to nominate for the School of Nursing Distinguished Alumni Award, Hall of Fame or the Betty Lee Evans Nursing Excellence Award?

The School of Nursing Distinguished Alumnus and Hall of Fame Awards are intended to honor alumni who have made major contributions to nursing through a commitment of excellence in patient care, research, publications, education, community service, and/or nursing leadership.

The Betty Lee Evans award was established by Dr. E. Burke Evans as a lasting tribute to his grandmother and her namesake, his sister, Betty Lee Evans.  Dr. Evans is a faculty member at UTMB in the Department of Orthopedics.

Nominee must be a UTMB School of Nursing graduate (Nursing Director, Management, or Nursing Services) who has made outstanding contributions to health care in the UTMB system.

Award winners are honored at the annual Homecoming events during the Awards Presentation and Tea to be held March 5, 2010.  The Board of Directors has developed the following criteria to use when nominating fellow alumni whom you feel deserve these great honors. All criteria must be addressed to be considered.
