The Advisory Council was formed with the purpose of promoting recognition, welfare, and progress of nursing education at the UTMB School of Nursing at Galveston. The council members serve as liaisons between the school and the community to promote understanding, cooperation, and mutual respect. The Advisory Council was instrumental in founding the Salute to Nursing, a scholarship benefit for the School of Nursing.
