Recognizing and Responding to Bioterrorism and Other Public Health Emergencies 

This 2-hour course is designed to meet the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners' requirement for bioterrorism continuing education for nurses. Topics include biological and chemical hazards, recognition of a public health emergency, decontamination procedures, and personal protection equipment. Roles and responsibilities of the health care worker in the public health setting and hospital are discussed in detail.

Approved Continuing Education Credits are available for nurses, physicians, health educators, social workers, registered sanitarians, emergency medical personnel, and law enforcement.
