Technology Skills And Knowledge Level Desired Of Graduates

These skills and knowledge may include but are not limited to:

» Basic computer operation.
» The use of a word processor (Microsoft Word).
» The use of presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint)
» Search techniques on the web. Students should be able to determine the quality of information gleaned from the web, and they should know how to advocate for their clients accessing such information.
» Producing and editing a web page*.
» The individual educational programs may determine the need and/or level of skills needed with spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), databases (Microsoft Access) and statistical programs (SPSS & SAS).

*The use of the web page is rapidly becoming a useful teaching aid (e.g. placement of education materials for client use) and students should be prepared to produce and or edit such pages.
