The School of Nursing Alumni Association Homecoming, an annual event for all University of Texas School of Nursing alumni, is a way to celebrate the success of our alumni and to welcome the opportunity to share the progress of our school. This event promises to be a time of reflection and fulfillment. Alumni are part of a 100-year tradition of caring and serving our fellow man.

The Chloe Floyd Lecture series is part of homecoming. The lecture series is endowed through the generosity of Chloe Floyd, who has been a teacher, a colleague, and a friend to many. This lecture series allow the Alumni Association and the School of Nursing to bring in lecturers at Homecoming that enable alumni to earn continuing-education credits. Serving both as a practitioner and educator, Chloe has been with the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Nursing at Galveston for more than 30 years. In 1986, she received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Nursing, and in 1992 she was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Alumni Association.
