The University of Texas Medical Branch School of Nursing hosts Open House, an informational session for prospective students, on the first Saturday of every month. This provides potential baccalaureate and masters' students an opportunity to talk with the Preadmission Advisor, the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Admissions, program faculty, and other support personnel (i.e. financial aid, registrar). Activities include:

• Registration
• Program overview and history of the School of Nursing
• Admission requirements session, including prerequisite courses and application/admission process
• Enrollment Services (Registrar and Financial Aid) information session
• Student Life Office information session
• Student Ambassadors - The nursing program from a student's perspective
• Program specific information session
• Tour of the School of Nursing
