Nursing Simulation Center (NSC)

Hillcrest Foundation Birthing Simulation Suite

Simulations focused at the provision of safe and effective maternal child care are conducted in this suite. Sophisticated manikins will allow learners to practice both delivery and care of newborns. The continuum of care may range from uncomplicated obstetric and newborn care to clinical situations which incorporate degrees of complication arising for both the mother and newborn based on the outcome expectations which have been determined as appropriate for the learner. Noelle® a childbearing manikin, Sim Baby®, Fetal Sim® and an Empathy Belly are companions to a large array of neonate, obstetric, and pediatric simulation products residing in this maternal-child care environment

The Hillcrest Foundation Birthing Suite was funded by the Hillcrest Foundation to provide learning opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students, nursing students and other disciplines.
